This is the comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan ATLAS. It became unexpectedly bright as it got closer to the Sun. This image was taken after it emerged from the other side of the Sun.

  • Tracking: Home built 2 circle segment equatorial platform
  • Camera: ZWO ASI533MM Pro, CMOS monochrome 3008x3008 3.76μm pixels, 100 gain

  • Post-processing: Gimp
  • Skies: Bortle 5 skies (Wanniassa)
